Stopping the Downward Spiral
Single woman in the 2nd and 3rd acts of live often have a lot of time for themselves. If that’s you, use that time for healing. Especially if you’ve just come out of a long relationship.
On the other hand, too much time alone creates the opportunity for negativity to creep in, which can be disastrous for your social life.
For instance, you wake one morning and, because you have too much time, you spend that time looking in the mirror. You spot a few new facial wrinkles and suddenly, you begin searching for other imperfections. That starts the downward spiral as you find imperfections not only in your body, but then your home, family, and friends. Before you know it, the negativity has spread to your social life and you start finding fault in every man you meet.
The most effective approach to stop a downward spiral is to nip the negativity in the bud. Start focusing on the positives. Every morning write 3 or 4 things you appreciate in your life until you have shifted into a positive mindset.
